About Marcy

Originally from Kentucky, Marcy graduated from the University of Kentucky in 1985 and quickly went in search of sun, sand, and a Resort destination. She ended up in Hilton Head Island, SC for 10 years in the Hotel business working for Marriott & Hilton Resorts in catering, convention services and sales and marketing. She was fortunate enough to be relocated to Maui with the Hyatt Regency Maui as a Senior Sales Manager in 1996. In 2000 her interest in Real Estate became her career and she pursued her Real Estate sales license at that time and subsequently her Real Estate Broker’s license in 2006. Her sights were set from the beginning on being an agent focusing on Resort communities including Kapalua and Kaanapali oceanfront and golf course properties. Previously to joining Coldwell Banker Island Properties she has worked with Keller Williams Realty Maui from October 2017 to present. Prior to that Marcy was with Sakamoto Properties from April 2011 and Kapalua Realty from 2005. Her desire to live, work and play in the most spectacular Resort community in the world, Kapalua Resort, is a reality that she’s thankful for every day and gives her first-hand experience in sharing with her clients the Maui dream! She believes education is critical in this business and therefore she has continued her real estate education beyond just getting a license. She has completed additional educational courses to receive her Broker’s license and designations as an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and Graduate Realtor Institute (GRI). She has been involved with the Realtors Association of Maui and has served on the Professional Standards Committee and prior to that served as the Vice-Chair of the Grievance Committee. She has served in the past as the Co-Chair for the Political Action Committee and a 3 year term as a Director at Large with the Board. When not working, Marcy enjoys all outdoor activities (with her greatest passion being golf), traveling and spending time with her family and friends. She is committed not only to meeting the needs of her clients but exceeding their expectations and fulfilling their dreams. She truly believes in putting the client first and serving them with honesty, integrity and personalized service. She’s excited to be part of the Coldwell Banker Island Properties new Kapalua office to bring Marcy’s clients the level of excellence and recognition Coldwell Banker represents not only in the Islands but nationally and internationally.

Exemplary is the word which can best describe Marcy's abilities and skills as an agent. We have been searching for our dream home on Maui for a number of years. And, in that search we finally found the agent who has all the necessary criteria to bring it all together. Knowledgeable about the current market conditions, patient with her clients' idiosyncrasies and willing to be available whenever, Marcy is the one!

Marcy Rhody is absolutely the best real estate agent on Maui! Marcy was our agent from the Fall of 2018 through the Spring of 2019 as we searched for our dream home in Maui. We met Marcy at an open house in August of 2018 and liked her immediately. We were first attracted to her knowledge of West Maui, her professionalism, and her friendly nature. As we began working with Marcy, we found that there was much more to like. One of the complicating factors in our home search was that we were living on the east coast so most of the transaction was completed remotely. Marcy not only helped us find a home, but she was with us every step of the way – through the home inspection process; reviewing every document of the sales contract and escrow processes; and making sure that all termite, pest, and other contingencies were completed on time. Even after closing, Marcy continued to take care of our home until we finally arrived in Maui 2 months later. Marcy is amazingly responsive, dependable, dedicated, and hard working. We had a great experience and now have a new friend!!
