Maren Brisson-Kuester

Maren was born in Charlotte, NC and raised in Weddington, NC. She left to attend college in Columbia, SC at the University of South Carolina. Upon her return she worked in marketing until receiving her real estate license in 2003 and embarking on her real estate career. Maren quickly achieved top producer status and has remained one of the top producers at her firm since 2006. Real estate has always been her primary passion as evidenced in her leadership roles within the local, state, and national organizations. She served as a two-term president for the Charlotte Regional Realtors Association in 2015 and 2016 and has been elected to serve as the president of the NC Realtors in 2020. She is an enthusiastic public speaker and is always giving back to her industry. She is deeply involved in Charlotte’s philanthropic community as well. She has served as chair and champion for many non-profit organizations in the Queen City. She has also always been extremely involved in the school community at Charlotte Preparatory School where her children attend. She believes that a great Realtor® does not just provide excellent service to their clients. They continue those efforts by dedicating their talents in other ways to be able to encourage economic, and personal growth in our community by supporting the residents throughout various philanthropic organizations.

Because of her many contributions to the industry and the Charlotte community, Maren has been the recipient of several awards. She was named the Charlotte Regional Realtors’ Realtor® of the Year in 2016 for outstanding contributions to her industry and the community, which is the organizations highest honor. She has been recognized by the NC Realtors Association with an Outstanding Service Award and won the Chairman’s Award three years in a row (2015-2017) for outstanding fundraising and advocacy efforts. She received the Hall of Fame award in 2018 from the National Association of Realtors for her extraordinary commitment to the Realtors Political Action Committee. She has also been recognized by the Charlotte business community as one of the Charlotte Business Journals “forty under forty” in 2016 and one of the “Top 25 Women in Business” in 2017.

In 2018 Maren joined Valerie and HM Properties in a brand-new leadership role for the company. All her brokerage and leadership experience over the years culminated in this new relationship with one of the area’s most preeminent broker owners. Together they look forward to continuing and improving the exemplary service they have provided their clients for over 15 years. She resides in the Barclay Downs neighborhood with her sons Reid (12) and Dillon (8); and their two dogs Callie and Charlie, and Cole their cat.
