Maria is an incredible person and real estate agent! I bought a new home almost 3,000 miles from where I was moving from, and almost sight unseen!
Maria went above and beyond on all facets of my house purchase. She went to several different homes we saw on line and gave me very helpful feedback, including noting neighborhoods adjacent to the online properties and steering me clear of areas that I wouldn’t feel comfortable or wasn’t going to be a good fit for my family!
Maria and I used FaceTime to walk through the gorgeous home I ended up purchasing! It’s everything and more!
Should I ever decide to move again, the only realtor I would call would be Maria, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her to my friends and family!

Hands down to the best realtor in South Carolina, Maria Calcutt. From day 1 she helped us find our dream home. She prioritized our buying experience in our small visits to South Carolina so we could get a real feel to where we wanted to be, she paid attention to detail and the “musts” for what we were looking for. It didn’t matter for her what time or day due to distance and time zones we needed to call. Four years later, we had to move from South Carolina and relocate, without hesitation we reached out to Maria and she helped us put our home in the market. Maria has been extremely helpful and has guided us through the whole process. She made this difficult process as stress free as possible. Our home was under contract in less than two weeks and we closed on our home shortly after. Being the second transaction Maria has handled for us, she most definitely deserves recognition for her professionalism and assistance in all aspects of real estate.

Maria is a rare find in this industry: passionate AND knowledgeable about the real estate market and the ins and outs of buying and selling locally....PLUS excellent at providing her clients with superior customer service. We have been working with Maria for nearly two years, first as a buyer and then as a seller. During the buying experience, Maria and her husband, Sean, were always patient and available to tour numerous houses with us anytime at our request, even on holidays. Then, when we decided to build, they remained attentive during the whole process to help it go more smoothly. During the selling process, Maria was able to coordinate over 20 showings of our house and procured a great deal for us in less time than we thought! On November 16, 2020, I was given a notice that my unit I was leasing was coming off the market and that I had to be out by December 31, 2020. This was a complete shock to me as I had NO desire to move at the time and my job's busiest time of year is during November and December. During these months, I could be sent off at anytime to anywhere in the country. So, needless to say, I was completely stressed and overwhelmed with the news that I had to literally pick up my life and move in 45 days. As soon as I got the news, I reached out to Sean Calcutt (Maria's husband), as he had been recommended to me in the past, and explained to him the situation and that it may be time to look for my first home to buy. Immediately, Sean and Maria got the process rolling for me. They connected me to a mortgage broker, Joel Wall with Guaranteed Rate Affinity (HIGHLY RECOMMEND JOEL AND HIS TEAM) and we started looking at houses within 2 days. During this time, the market was a seller's market, so they were flying off the market within 24 hours. Sean and Maria were so patient with me during this time and really looked for "the wants" I asked for in a house. I never felt pressured at all when looking at houses. They always told me to not jump to the first house I saw, but to go home and think about it. They were available every day to show house, they even toured one with me on Thanksgiving Day! They really care about their clients. On December 4, 2020, we found a home that is exactly what I wanted and where I wanted to be! I put an offer on it and it was accepted! The house was under contract within 24 hours of being listed, so this shows Sean and Maria work fast and with listings. Maria took over after i signed my contract that was accepted. Maria is so responsive with calls and texts, she makes sure the process was so smooth. I didn't know what to expect when buying a home as I never had bought one before. So, I was nervous and had no idea what to expect. When I say this process was so smooth and so fast, Maria and I talked just about everyday during this time and she helped me with any questions I had, I never had to chase her down or felt she just left me high and dry. She was there with me till the very end and I couldn't have felt more comfortable and positive about buying a house. I am so thankful for Maria and Sean. They felt more like friends than agents during this time. Now, I am living in a beautiful home since January 8, 2021, thanks to them and their hard work to get me in here. If you're stressing about house buying or just looking for a great realtor, look no further. I couldn't have asked for a better realtor during a time I had no idea what to do. To this day, she still asks how everything is and follows up with the house. She doesn't have to, but this proves that she cares about clients. Just want to thank Maria and Sean, again, for their diligence and help for me to find my home!
