About Maria

Maria Skubicki was born and raised in the south of Poland, in a region of gently rolling hills, rivers, and green valleys, so similar to our North Eastern Pennsylvania landscape. She moved to New York City in 1977, where she graduated with an Accounting Degree, and later with a Bachelor's degree, in Marketing Management, from Baruch College.
She worked in the corporate realm for over 20 years, ultimately as a Merchandiser and Marketing manager in the Jewelry Industry. Maria, and her husband Mark of 34 years, with their children Thomas and Jennifer, would spend vacations and weekends in the Pocono Region. This is where they found their perfect place, and consequently relocated to the Hawley / Lake Wallenpaupack region in 2002.
Loving nature and the great outdoors, this was a perfect place for them to leave behind the stressful life of the big city and start enjoying this beautiful region of Lake Wallenpaupack.
