About Marilyn
To work with Marilyn Riner is to work with one of the sharpest and kindest in the business. With more than seventeen years of industry experience, Marilyn blends a deep dedication to her clients with her keen sense for negotiation. With Marilyn in your court, you can rest assured the intricate process of buying and selling your home is in safe hands.
Having lived in DFW all her adult life, Marilyn has a thorough knowledge of the area and an unwavering love for Fort Worth in particular. Marilyn worked in the fashion industry for twenty years before transitioning to real estate in 2005. She worked for a number of realtors in all different sectors of the business before settling into her newfound favorite home, Briggs Freeman Sotheby’s International Realty. Marilyn’s range of experiences has given her a unique perspective into the industry and exposed her to best practices across a variety of companies.
Not only is Marilyn highly knowledgeable, but she is also unafraid to go to bat for her clients. After she settled a particularly challenging negotiation, her client joked that the big wigs had been “Marilyn-ed.” This has become a catchphrase for her, cheekily capturing her commitment to her clients and her determination to strike a fair deal. It is no wonder Marilyn is a fighter. The eighth of twelve children, Marilyn was raised in Wisconsin by her single mother after her father passed away when she was five years old. Marilyn’s family history instilled in her strength, loyalty, and integrity. She lives and works by these values, and her Christian faith, every day.
Marilyn turns clients into friends, learns about their hopes and dreams, and walks with them through major life transitions. As a Senior Real Estate Specialist, she goes above and beyond to serve her older clients—she has even helped clean a three-car-garage. Marilyn also has her Military Relocation Professional certification, through which she helps military members find homes in North Texas. She is also on the board of the Fort Worth Air Power Council, the country’s top fundraising organization for the military and their families. And, as a professional singer, Marilyn has volunteered to perform at numerous military events and ceremonies.
Marilyn sings professionally in a big band trio, plays tennis, swims, and loves to read a good book. She has two adult daughters, a late husband of twenty-nine years, and a second husband of seven.
It is Marilyn’s joy to work with friends and families to find their next right home in the wild and wonderful town of Fort Worth, Texas.
