She also serves as chair for the Membership Committee for the Brazilian American Chamber of Commerce and as a writer, she contributes to the largest newspaper servicing the Brazilian community in Florida with her monthly real estate column.

She is fluent in English, Portuguese, and Spanish. Originally from Brazil, she came to the U.S. at the age of 17 to attend Rollins College in Winter Park, Florida, where she graduated with honors in International Affairs with a minor in Economics.
