About Mark
Mark Brown brings an uncommon talent and experience to his work as a Realtor, which has helped him become an Hour Detroit Magazine Top 5% Producer. Having spent his childhood and teen years growing up in Birmingham, MI, he developed an appreciation for and enjoyed hunting down unique residential architecture in his own city and throughout Metro Detroit. Mark's early fascination with home designs drew him out on long bike rides to explore the many historic neighborhoods in southeast Michigan.
As a student at Seaholm High School, a love for social and physical sciences was sparked by his energetic and passionate teachers. Mark continued his education at Michigan State University earning Bachelor of Science degrees in Geology and Sociology. Between his undergraduate and graduate degrees, Mark became the full-time Director of a non-profit mentoring organization in Birmingham, whose mission is to connect high-achieving university students from Oakland University and The University of Detroit Mercy with groups of students from Birmingham area high schools and middle schools to promote healthy, positive, and uplifting lifestyles. Mark built the non-profit from a start-up to a thriving organization with the assistance of hundreds of local families, businesses, and philanthropists.
Once the organization was thriving and stable enough to continue on without him, Mark chose to pursue his dream of earning a Master of Science degree in Geology at New Mexico State University. Upon completion, a special opportunity was presented to Mark to work at Signature Sotheby's International Realty...an employment situation that would allow the fascination for real estate during his youth to be a full-time job. Based on his background, knowledge base, personality, and connections throughout Metro Detroit, it was perfect. Since that time, Mark was recruited away from Hall and Hunter Realtors (Christie's International Real Estate) to @properties where he has successfully become a top-producing Realtor in southeast Michigan.
Mark Brown is a rare find in the world of Real Estate. On one hand, he's built connections with some of the area's most respected leaders through his work in the non-profit world. On the other, he collected, analyzed, and presented his data regarding unknown oil reservoirs in Northern Michigan and Canada to some of the world's top researchers. His relational and analytical skills have served him and his clients well in the Real Estate world. Mark takes a thoroughly scientific approach to analyzing local market data to come up with the best prices for clients buying and selling homes while being incredibly personable and relatable to every potential client.
