Mark is an amazing, dedicated, and knowledgeable realtor. We decided to work with Mark due to him helping multiple family members and being referred by all of them. So, we knew even before working with him that we were in good hands – and he certainly did not disappoint! Mark helped my husband and I (first time homeowners) navigate purchasing a bank owned property during a time when it is hard to buy. We were looking for something in our budget that we could renovate and rent out a portion of, so we had very specific requirements. Despite the tricky market, he got us a good deal on the property that met all our needs! After winning the bid, he helped us navigate the intricacies of buying a bank owned property. I first met and worked with Mark in the Spring of 2021, when he helped me purchase our first home in Maryland. Not only that, but he walked us through the entire process while I was physically in Hawaii, even through closing. The time he takes, energy he puts in, and just overall care he takes with his clients in my opinion are almost unimaginable!

Mark Ruby sold our daughters home several years with a quick turn around. They were extremely pleased with his service. So we contacted Mark to discuss the selling of our second home. We found Mark to be very attentive, he answered our questions in clear and concise words and we felt comfortable turning over the sale of our home to him. Mark always responded to our questions daily. He offered suggestions and options we never even considered to attract future buyers to our home. His knowledge of the real estate business and his familiarity with our community helped to establish a realistic asking price. His estimated price to sell our home was within the range we were expecting. We established a time-line and Mark hit all the deadlines from "Coming Soon" signs in the front yard, orchestrating pictures of our home and advertising in many different areas. Our house officially went on the market on Friday and we had several contracts within the first four days. We actually sold our house for more than the asking price which was icing on the cake. Mark is an outstanding real estate agent and we couldn't be more pleased with our end result. After our initial meeting at our home in Catonsville, Mark gave us good recommendations on how to stage our home to draw in potential buyers. He performed a comprehensive analysis of home prices in our neighborhood and we agreed to a good and fair price that he thought would sell the home quickly. Mark was able to spread the word about the upcoming listing via a wide media network he utilizes that includes his real estate peers. The first day the home came on the market, 17 real estate agents and their clients toured the house. There were so many people around that several of our neighbors thought that there was a parade on our street and they came out of their homes to observe. There were people in the front yard, in the back yard, in the house, and a line of cars with people waiting their turn. The same thing happened the next day when 13 more real estate agents and their clients toured the house. We received multiple offers on the house and based on Mark's solid negotiating skills he was able to get us an all cash deal, with a nice bump up above the asking price, and the house was sold as is without a home inspection. We were introduced to Mark by a close friend. I told Mark on the phone the first time we met that we were not great clients because we didn’t have a loan and weren’t committed to buying and we didn’t want to waste his time. He assured me that there would be no waste of time and he made an appointment for us to see our home that night for the next day. We saw the home the next day and loved it. Mark helped us get pre approved, make an offer, and get it accepted within 28 hours. Mark’s communication style is direct and honest, which my wife and I appreciated so much. He helped us process the type of offer to make and helped us prepare our home for sale. He helped with color choices, staging, and went above and beyond what I’ve experienced in the past with realtors. Mark also did a great job dealing with the emotions of insecure buyers and was always available to answer that panicky call as the emotions of buying and selling ebbed and flowed.
