About Mark

After attending the University of Texas, Mark Uhr embarked on a career in commercial real estate and land development. For the past 30 years, he has successfully been involved in major projects in Austin, San Antonio, Houston and Rockport. In 1995, Mark settled permanently in Rockport and established a full-service real estate firm. The company encompasses residential and commercial real estate sales operations, land development and a custom homebuilding division. Rockport Properties specializes in premier homes and luxury condominiums on the waterfronts and the fairways. Additionally, Uhr is the developer of St. Andrews Place, a distinctive 40-lot garden home community at Rockport Country Club; The Enclave, an exclusive area within the Estates section of Rockport Country Club; and The Oaks at Bentwater, Rockport’s only apartment complex is his latest development. The company’s homebuilding division has achieved prominence for superior craftsmanship, and is currently building several luxury custom homes per year in distinguished neighborhoods such as Key Allegro, Harbor Oaks and Rockport Country Club. Uhr has received a national award for kitchen design and a first place award for bathroom design. Uhr and his family are actively involved in the community, and consistently support civic and charitable endeavors. He is a past member of the Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, is a community board member for Wells Fargo Bank and is a former member of the Board of Trustees of the Texas Maritime Museum. Uhr’s professional affiliations include the Rockport Area Association of Realtors, the Texas Association of Realtors, the National Association of Realtors and the Texas Residential Construction Commission.
