She was born and raised in Gwinnett County and graduated from The University of Georgia with a degree in Business Education. Marla has been married to her husband Mike for 30 years, and they have 2 wonderful children, Malerie (27) and Michael (23). Marla is also the Founder of Malerie’s Hope, a 501(c)3 organization whose mission is: to find the cause and cure for childhood cancer, to help families who have a child that has been diagnosed with cancer, and to make an impact in the life of someone who has made a difference in the life of a special needs person. She enjoys living on Lake Lanier, playing tennis, reading books, and spending time with family and friends.
