Martha Pomares, is the consummate Realtor-advocate. In her 27-year career Martha has been a Realtor, Owner/Broker, and Managing Broker. As a leader in the local, state, and national Realtor associations for the past 25-years, her focus has been on increasing learning opportunities for the Realtor and enhancing the Real Estate transaction experience for the consumer.
Both as a Broker/Owner and Managing Broker, Martha has implemented targeted, strategic recruiting and exceptional retention strategies to not only develop the Realtors in her office but to consistently exceed production goals. As past Chair and President of the Miami Association of Realtors, a Director of the Florida Association of Realtors, a 2013 National Association of Realtors Leadership Academy graduate, and the only Hispanic Education Director for the American Real Estate University, Martha is a serious student of the business of Real Estate. Her office and agents are the direct beneficiaries of her relevant and current knowledge of best-practices, industry standards and of her relationships with local and national experts and leaders in the industry.
Born in Cuba, Martha’s family immigrated to Mexico when she was five and arrived in Miami when she was 12. Her commitment to community through her advocacy in the industry and through extensive volunteering can be traced to those early years. Kiwanis International of Westchester (President 2006-08), St. Jude’s Children Hospital (Angel of Hope since 1999), Belen Jesuit Preparatory School are a few of the highlights of her volunteer activism. As a single-mom, Martha proudly speaks of her son Alexander Leon who inherited his mom’s competitive spirit earning his B.A. from the University of Miami, his J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law, and is currently an attorney practicing commercial litigation in Miami
