I have lived on the Southern coast of Rhode Island all my life. I know southern Rhode Island well. Currently I live in Newport, and I have lived here over 25 years. I enjoy golf and tennis. I have been an avid sailor. I taught for 30 years, and I have been in real estate since 1986.

I attended the University of Rhode Island where I earned my bachelor's and master's degrees in accounting and finance. I volunteer to do the accounting for a number of nonprofits. I am involved in local and regional planning. I sit on the Board of the Newport Public Education Foundation.
