Mark Nelson was AMAZING to work with. I was a first time home buyer and I was very new to all that comes with buying a home. Mark is extremely knowledgeable and was very patient with me and all the questions that I had. Mark listened to what I was looking for in a home and showed me over 10+ properties over the few months. Mark was excited to go to each home and help me see the pros and cons of the homes. Mark was very knowledgeable about the current and previous market to get me the best rate available. Not only is Mark a great Realtor, he is a great person. Mark made buying a home fun, he was eager to learn about my family and share about his. I cannot say enough about how professional, punctual, and great Mark is. I will continue to use him in the future and refer anyone to him.

Tireless, reliable, always helpful, great guy!!

We first met Mark Nelson when we walked into the Long and Foster Eastport office unannounced, that is, without an appointment We had been looking around the Eastport area (part of Annapolis) for several years but had not found anything that really turned us on. Mark was on the front desk and quickly became acquainted with our interest and needs. He had a knack for asking the right questions without leading us on or pushing possibilities which were not very feasible for us. The result two days later was seeing several condos which were available at the time, but more importantly becoming acquainted with the Chesapeake Harbour community of residential units. After that experience, we told Mark that C. H. was the place that we liked most so that ALL he had to do was find a condo there with the best features for our needs and interests – a plethora of light, a wrap-around porch, an inside spiral staircase leading to a loft area, and clean with modern features – to mention a few.

And he found it, although not without a lot of work and walking on both sides, and with the additional constraint that there were not many condos on the market to start with. Mark has a unique characteristic of listening and then taking action according to what he hears. He will ask questions to , clarify what he hears and to try to ascertain what your real interests are, and then he will go to work. We discovered that we could ask him or tell him anything, and that he would then try to take it into account, or sometimes, explain why it was not a good idea. He very quickly became our go-to-guy, not only as a real estate agent but also as a knowledgeable resident of the area and as a friend. And when unanticipated problems arose, he quickly researched them and then suggested a good solution. For example, we had a major electrical problem on the day before we were supposed to close, and Mark made a number of telephone calls to understand the problem and then came up with a viable solution. The result was that in spite of what appeared at first to be an insurmountable problem, we were able to close on time. Another time, he helped us unload personal clothes and two bicycles from our car and then carry them up several flights to our condo – a task clearly not in his resume as a real estate agent but done more as a friend and to help solve a real problem.

In summary, we started off with an excellent and knowledgeable real estate agent and ended up with a good and reliable friend, a relationship we hope to continue in the future. As a real estate agent, he was always willing to go the extra mile, and as a friend, he was always willing to help out. Hard to say more !

Mark Nelson is awesome! I would highly recommend him. He stays on top of everything and keeps you well informed. I especially liked that he was easy to get a hold of at any time. Thanks for all your efforts Mark.
