Born and raised in the heart of Amherst County, Virginia, Mason Thomas has built his life and career on three core principles: hard work, faith, and serving others. From a young age, Mason traveled across the state playing bluegrass and gospel music, leading his first band at just 13 years old. Guided by the strong influence of his grandparents, Mason learned early the importance of treating people right and putting in an honest day’s work.
Accepting Jesus Christ as his Savior during his early teen years set the foundation for Mason’s life. Through the support of his youth group, youth pastor, and the love of his high school sweetheart, Becca—now his wife—Mason grew into a leader committed to serving others.
After graduating from Virginia Tech with a bachelor’s degree in Forest Operations and Business, Mason gained valuable real-world experience in forestry, agriculture, and business management. His career journey included working with a lumber company managing timberland and farm operations, growing a farm-to-table beef business, and serving in sales for Virginia’s largest Caterpillar equipment dealership. Later, he founded LMT Hauling & Excavating, where he combined hands-on expertise with business leadership to deliver top-tier excavating and site services.
Yet, of all the titles Mason has held, none means more to him than “Dad.” Raising two boys alongside Becca and serving faithfully at Clifford Baptist Church remain his greatest joys. When he’s not working, Mason enjoys spending time outdoors, fishing, farming, and making memories with family.
Mason’s lifelong love for auctions and real estate led him to graduate from the globally respected Reppert Auction School in March 2024. As a licensed realtor and auctioneer, Mason now brings together a deep understanding of land, timber, equipment, and property with a relationship-first approach to real estate and auction services.
