MATT HENRY

I am a native Oregonian from the Aurora area, from a family of six siblings. My father and mother was very nurturing and challenged us to be active and engaged in our surroundings, creating a lifelong love of the outdoors (camping, fishing, hunting) and sports; and I innately developed a lifelong love of learning for a multiple of topics! Married for 38 years to my wife Karen, we've three wonderful adult children. I recently retired from serving 33 years in secondary education as a high school teacher and administrator in all regions of Oregon; the Valley, Coastal, Central and Eastern Oregon! My whole career I loved encouraging young people to meet their individual potential! With a history major and government and geography minor, (OSU) I've a passion for reading and learning about all cultures, our state and country's history, and being engaged in my community. I greatly enjoy fixing, repairing, and generally solving problems that others give up on. I've always loved the tangible nature of real estate and the desired goal of a mutual 'win, win', for individuals, by creating the conditions for an exceptional deal for all involved. You might say by applying the Golden Rule, to every situation.
