About Matt

Matt has specialized in resort sales along the entire Grand Strand for nearly 30 years. He is an expert in resort and residential real estate.

Through his role as an integral part of The Scalise Group, he has gained extensive knowledge in other areas related to real estate including construction, development and vacation rentals.

Matt graduated from Myrtle Beach High School and The Citadel. He worked for Bank of America for several years where he gained valuable knowledge and experience as a Consumer Loan Officer as well as a Commercial Credit Analyst. This experience has helped him supply a higher level of service to his clients.

Matt has been involved in many charities and served on various boards in the Myrtle Beach community including HOA boards, architectural review boards, a bank advisory board, the American Red Cross, Mercy Hospice Board Chair, Bethany Christian Services and his children’s schools and church. He and his wife, Marian, an accomplished medical malpractice defense attorney, have a son, Matthew, Jr., who graduated from the University of South Carolina Greenville School of Medicine. He currently is a Resident in OB/GYN at UAB Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. They also have a daughter, Margaret, who graduated from Clemson University and is currently attending the University of South Carolina School of Law.
