Matthew Axelson

Born and raised in San Diego (followed by Los Angeles and Dallas) Matt “Axe” Axelson never lost his sights on coming back to America’s Finest City after moving across the southwest at the age of 14. A lover of the ocean, basketball, skateboarding, California burritos, and overall chill vibes - there was no better place to make ‘home’ once he and his wife, Kristine, married in 2019.

Axe’s passion for real estate and investing began when he was in the entertainment business, working and touring with music artists and DJs across the world. After recognizing the core of his drive was seeing his client’s win, he began learning digital marketing and advertising to help teach independent artists how to own and monetize their channels. To this day, Matt gets calls from friends and is happy to answer their questions on do’s and don’ts of the business.

In 2019, Axe took the leap from marketing to real estate after recognizing that his obsession for learning about the real estate market, mid-century properties, and investment opportunities was much more than just a hobby. Along with his prior experience and motivation, Matt brings his upbeat personality and friendly demeanor to the real estate game.
You can likely find Matt at a local dog park or dog beach with their pup, Chamomile or touring the city, showing his wife what it looks like to be a true San Diegan.
