About Matthew

In his role as an agent, Matt enjoys sharing his knowledge of the ever-changing industry so that his clients can make the most informed decisions possible and genuinely love the place they call home. His unique skillset joins professional experience in construction, finance, and marketing with years of knowledge as a Chicagoland resident and broker.

Matt's interest in real estate stretches back to college, where he took coursework as part of his major in Finance at the University of Notre Dame. He graduated with honors in 2009 and moved to Washington, DC, to work for the Obama White House and, later, the Small Business Administration.

He returned to Chicago in 2013 and purchased his first condo, a fixer-upper in an aging Lincoln Park high-rise. Working with a contractor to renovate the property convinced him that real estate was a true passion and future career direction. This eventually led him to obtain his real estate broker license in 2018 and make a career change.

Over the past fifteen years, Matt has lived in neighborhoods from River North to Roscoe Village, gaining a deep understanding of the nuances of buying and selling real estate for personal and investment purposes. He has first-hand knowledge of the hard costs of owning, maintaining, and renovating a home or condo. As an agent, he also helps clients understand neighborhood trends, school options, and local life (more recently from a parent's perspective).

Matt grew up in Homer Glen, Illinois, and attended Lockport Township High School. He resides in the Roscoe Village neighborhood of Chicago with his husband, Grant, and their kids, Elle & Jack.
