About Meg
Meg Nagel, a native Chicagoan, and 30-year Hancock resident, was born into a family long involved in the construction business and was fortunate to grow up in an historic Prairie-style home in River Forest, designed by a former architecture student of Frank Lloyd Wright. Meg spent several months researching the family home to earn its status on the National Historic Register. It remains on the Oak Park River Forest house-walk today.
Meg’s family developed subdivisions in the suburbs and continues to be involved in the construction of manufacturing plants, hospitals, projects at O’Hare Airport, and rehabbing historically significant houses.
Prior to receiving her real estate license in 2000, Meg received a master’s degree from Peabody Teacher’s College at Vanderbilt University and taught at Triton Community College and a branch of The University of Hawaii. She has also taught real estate classes for several real estate boards in Illinois.
She has appeared on Fox News and was interviewed regarding high-rise life in Chicago, featured several times in Chicago Realtor, Chicago Magazine, and W Magazine, and has been in Crain’s Chicago Business, and in their Book of Lists.
Meg specializes in the Gold Coast, Streeterville, vintage properties, and the John Hancock Building where she has achieved top sales volume for several years and Top 5% Producers in the Chicago Association of Realtors. She has also been awarded the title of Five Star Professional Real Estate Agent for multiple years for sales and service to clients.
