She received a degree from F.S.U. and then returned home working successfully in both pharmaceutical and legal technology sales. She is married to local business owner Gunnar Askeland and together they have 2 sons, residing in Tequesta. Their family business, Jupiter Inlet Car Wash, has also been a staple in the Jupiter/Tequesta area for a decade. Her strong love of God, family, friends, and community continue to grow and energize every aspect of her life.
