Professional, personal and polished – when it comes to real estate, Micaela Carriel takes charge in today’s fast-paced and dynamic industry. A highly-knowledgeable and driven real estate professional serving the greater Park City area in the Wasatch mountains of Utah, Micaela is a competitive and driven individual by nature. She’s passionate about putting in the work to help her clients come out on top, whether it be pairing them with the perfect property for their lifestyle or ensuring they have adequate insurance to protect their housing investments.
Raised in Kansas City with a love for athletics, Micaela attended college at Northern Illinois University on a Division 1 Soccer Scholarship; she graduated with a BS in History before moving to Sydney, Australia to fulfill a professional soccer contract. She eventually was drawn back to the US to play for the Women’s Professional League, but when the league folded her plans unexpectedly changed course. Undeterred, Micaela tried out for and made the US Bobsled Team which prompted her to make the move to Park City.
Although her Olympic dreams were cut short prior to the Sochi games, Micaela found a new passion in Park City. She had received her Teaching Certification and master’s degree in education, and went on to immerse herself teaching high school Social Studies for the next seven years, also coaching basketball, softball and varsity soccer. At the age of 26, in the middle of her teaching career, Micaela’s father unexpectedly passed away leaving several family businesses without leadership. She took over three construction businesses and his commercial and residential Real Estate clients in Kansas City. She managed those businesses remotely while also teaching full-time in Park City. In June of 2021, Micaela retired from teaching and jumped into real estate full time.
In the Spring of 2022, Micaela was recruited by and joined Summit Sotheby’s International Realty, drawn to their reputation for excellence and full-time, in-house support teams specializing in services including advertising and marketing, transaction management and professional photography and videography. Micaela and her business now directly benefit from Summit SIR’s organized and system-oriented support teams, allowing her to focus on her client’s needs and helping them achieve their real estate goals while providing a luxury experience for every transaction – regardless of the area or price-point.
Micaela is passionate about helping people; she loves supporting and guiding her clients in today’s competitive real estate market. Her ability to listen, communicate and negotiate with her peers paired with an unrelenting drive to build systems and relationships with others makes for seamless transactions. As a real estate professional, Micaela is your go-to person for current market information; she works tirelessly to build trusted relationships. Her attention to detail and ability to think outside of the box in today’s dynamic market enabled her to sell nearly $19 million in her first year.
When she’s not working, Micaela is passionate about her family. She and her husband live in Heber, Utah and they have two young children, Addisyn (3) and William (1), two dogs and a cat – a home life she describes as being filled with love and ‘controlled chaos’. Micaela also enjoys cooking, practicing yoga and spending her free time outside playing soccer, running, and hiking in Utah’s mountains.
