Michael Avis

Mike Avis entered the real estate and construction industry immediately upon graduation from Vanderbilt University in 1987. His instant passion for building and selling homes captured his attention and detoured his plans for business school. He has developed, built, and rehabbed more than 300 homes along the North Shore.

"I have had the best of both worlds. I could build homes during the week, and on the weekends, I did my own sales." To this day, Mike insists on being hands-on from the initial "consultation" to the "sale" to the "closing" and well beyond. There is a special connection and bond that develops when working closely with Mike and his clients use his services repeatedly.

Mike brings to @properties Christie’s International Real Estate over 37 years of success as a homebuilder, developer and real estate broker. Yet, Mike believes the most important thing he has ever built is his reputation. His belief in seeding long-term relationships through integrity, knowledge, experience and devotion are absolutely paramount to his real estate profession.

Mike grew up in Lake Forest and Lake Bluff. In his spare time, Mike likes to ride his mountain bike and powerboat on Lake Michigan in his vintage 1972 Cigarette.
