Southeast Alaska has been Michael’s home most of his life. Born in 1951, Michael lived in the fishing community of Kalinin Bay on the north end of Kruzof Island. Michael has traveled throughout Alaska, earning his Associate of Arts at Sheldon Jackson College in Sitka and continued his education at the University of Fairbanks. His major was Fire Prevention Engineering and Elementary Education.
Michael enjoys camping, boating, and whale watching with his family at every opportunity. He is also a member of Sitka Mountain Rescue K-9, Our Lady of Loreto Knights of Columbus, Sitka Sportsman Association, the National Realtors Association, Sitka Chamber of Commerce, and Sitka Community Land Trust.
