Michael and his wife, Lyudmila, have three young children - Zion, Ezra & Zara. Michael enjoys fishing, and together with his family he is active within their church community and give back through various projects within the city, such as Project512 and Austin Disaster Relief, and globally, such as SOS Aid in East Africa.
