Michael Morgan

Michael founded North Creek Capital, LLC in 2019, a registered investment adviser in Washington state, to provide management services to privately offered investment vehicles.

Most recently and prior to forming North Creek, Michael served on the Board of Trustees for a Washington based Trust responsible for managing its ~$200 million commercial real estate and alternative asset portfolio primarily consisting of self-storage and industrial properties throughout the Northwest. Michael worked collaboratively with the Board to refine the Trust's investment allocation strategies as well as supporting its ongoing asset management duties.

In 2010 Michael formed and launched Fairview Partners, a firm that specialized in the acquisition and management of non-performing commercial real estate loans and other debt investments across the country. Under Michael’s leadership the firm raised and managed 4 private investment funds, completed ~$140 million of capital investments which accounted for over 200 transactions across 34 states by the time of his departure in 2018.

Michael’s transition into the investment advisory space came after his time as a real estate broker at Marcus & Millichap where he and two partners launched a dedicated self-storage property sales platform in 2006. During his tenure, his team closed over $100 million in acquisition / disposition transactions on the West Coast.

Michael began his real estate career in commercial general contracting, as a project engineer, managing projects ranging from public works to high-rise residential developments. Michael holds a B.S. in Construction Management (2001) and a Certificate in Commercial Real Estate from the University of Washington (2002). Michael is also a designated Real Estate Broker and is affiliated with his wholly owned entity, MVM Investments LLC, a licensed Real Estate firm in Washington.
