Mike received his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Colorado at Boulder in 1998 and his Masters of Business Administration from Pepperdine in 2006. He brings two decades’ commercial real estate experience to Next Realty Mid-Atlantic, after several years with Hogan Companies, Savills-Studley, and CBRE.
Mike has extensive experience in market analysis, zoning, residential and commercial leasing, sales, and entitlement management. Mike has worked throughout the Mid-Atlantic and in Colorado. He currently manages a development pipeline of about 1,400 residential units and 900,000 square feet of light industrial and retail space with several significant industry partners.
Sponseller will use his unique skill set to target investment/development opportunities in both the commercial and residential industry segments for NRMA’s Investment Activities. In addition, he will provide support and brokerage services for the NRMA team with new and the firm’s existing clients as needed.
Mike is a native of Frederick, Maryland and is currently a resident of Washington, DC. He spends his free time enjoying bicycling, motorsports, snowboarding, surfing, and philanthropic efforts via Becky’s Fund, Friends of Truxton Park, and Skatepark of Baltimore.
Mike has represented many prominent clients over the years, such as Gilbane Development, Sandy Spring Bank, AGI Devco, Lennar Homes, Monarch Senior Living, Pleasants Development, Reliable Real Estate Services, and Hogan Development Group. He is active in the Maryland Building Industry Association.
