Michael Thomas RE

Michael Thomas is a seasoned real estate professional with over 15 years of experience with real estate investments, development, housing and real estate policy. As a licensed Realtor with Smart Realty, LLC, he assists clients with a broad range of residential and commercial real estate transactions.

Michael currently serves as Commissioner of the Maryland Department of Labor (MREC), where he oversees the administration and enforcement of the state's real estate laws and regulations. He also holds the esteemed position of Adjunct Professor at Morgan State University, where he inspires and educates future generations of real estate professionals.

Over the years, Michael has received countless awards and recognition, including a 2023 citation from the Maryland General Assembly for his work and dedication to the real estate industry. Michael holds a MBA degree in Business Administration.
