Michelle is a rare find among realtors. She actually listens carefully to your needs and concerns then immediately applies them to the task at hand. We found Michelle from these reviews online. I was skeptical that one realtor could have so many positive reviews. It didn't take me long after meeting her to know the reviews must be authentic and that I'd likely be writing a similar review. My wife and I have worked with many realtors over the years for both selling and purchasing homes. Only once before did we feel like the agent was putting our interests above their own. Michelle definitely did that every step of the way. Not only did she expertly guide us on our home search, but she helped us come up with a solution to a completely unrelated issue that she had experience in. Here is the bottom line: Michelle is a better listener than me. Therefore, she knew what would and would not work for my wife long before I did. So do yourself a favor and work with Michelle on your next real estate purchase and/or sale. You won't regret it.

My husband and I recently purchased a home in the Cordova area a few days ago for $175,000; and had it not been for Michelle none of it would have been possible. If you are looking to buy or sell in/around Memphis, Michelle Amen is the way to go! My wife and I put our house up for sale in Millington, TN – at first we listed it with a different agent and were not satisfied with the service. We had a second agent ready to take on the sell, but then we decided to go with Michelle and have not regretted it! Here are the things Michelle did for us: 1) She QUICKLY had high quality pictures of our house made and posted on our listing. When I say “High quality” I mean high picture quality AND angles/shots that flattered the house. Her photo rep. didn’t just drive up and take quick pictures while strolling through each room – they studied the room and shot the room in ways that showed the space, important features of each room, and so forth. 2) She was easy to contact by phone or email! Previous realtors who tried to sell our house were nowhere to be found WHEN I NEEDED THEM! Michelle will answer your calls/emails OR return them quickly (I never had her take more than 1 hour tops to call me back). 3) She is hard-working, and gets things done. While I have been promised many things from 2 different agents before Michelle, previous realtors did not deliver like Michelle did. It would take “a couple days” with the 2 other realtors, where as with Michelle, I often had the impression over phone calls/emails that she wanted my house to sell as badly as I did. She shoots straight with you, lays out options fairly, AND she has a sense of urgency in working with you to sell/buy a house! Our heartfelt thanks to our agent, Michelle Amen, for sticking with us and leading us on this real estate roller coaster. We asked Michelle to help us sell our home- our first home together- so that we could move on to our “forever” home as soon as possible. We were on a tight timeframe and we knew what we had to get out of the house in order to make it work financially. She had her work cut out for her, but Michelle and her team were up to the task! Michelle aggressively marketed our home, using her contacts and expertise to get our home in front of the right buyers. In 22 days, we had an offer. In 25 days, we had three offers. Michelle patiently worked with a less-experienced agent to ensure that we were protected as sellers and that everything was “by the book.” Although the sale to the initial buyer fell through, Michelle dug the situation out of the ditch and managed to get us back under contract with one of the original offers within a week. We closed on our home two weeks later, thanks to Michelle’s expert negotiations and guidance and her team’s willingness to coordinate all of the details that go along with selling a home. First to start on letting u know how I met Michelle Amen was a true blessing. My husband and I are first time home buyers and were really confused and frustrated on the home searching process. We originally had another agent and were looking at homes but was not getting any information on any loan programs and had not even been approved for anything at the time. He had us just searching the internet on our own to find a home and let him know and then he will show it to us. He had not referred us to a mortgage company or anything. He did not explain anything on the loan process or any other important information we needed to know. He was trying to get a quick sell. I was so fed up that one night which was around the end of April we were searching the internet and viewed a home on Zillow and I told my husband I was going to contact the agent that was listed which was Michelle. He said I don't think we should do that, I said I am tired of being frustrated and need questions answered in which we are not getting. So, I contacted Michelle and she answered the phone with a friendly voice and explained everything to her that was going on and the frustration that we had and she immediately said that we should not be frustrated at all. Michelle at that time advised me to put the phone on speaker so she could answer any concerns my husband and I needed. Also, she stated with her clients she ask what they are looking for to get an idea of what she needs to search for and the client does not have to do anything . We asked her all the questions that we needed to know at that time about the different loan programs, tax information, and credit scoring, etc. In that lenght of time we talked on the phone and learned more in a half hour than we did within the past two mths with the previous agent. After that night we build a great relationship with one another and my husband I decided to let the other agent go. As we moved foward with our search for our dream home Michelle worked with us and we met up at the mortgage company that she deals with, which is very organized and they got us pre approved the same day. At that point Michelle started day and night pulling homes that matched our criteria and printing them out and taking us to review them about twice a week. She had us to rate them on a scale of 1 to 10 which was a fun process to do. We have really enjoyed working with Michelle on this great experience and hope to continue to stay in touch with her. I would like to take a moment and thank you for your agency’s assistance in purchasing and closing on our new home in Collierville this month, we’re actually scheduled to move in this Friday. Donna and I sold our home in Almadale Farms last August to embark on a mission of downsizing somewhat and capitalizing on the distressed market with what we thought would be a sixty-day adventure that turned into a seven month deplorable ordeal. If you are looking to buy or sell in/around Memphis, Michelle Amen is the way to go! My wife and I put our house up for sale in Millington, TN – at first we listed it with a different agent and were not satisfied with the service. We had a second agent ready to take on the sell, but then we decided to go with Michelle and have not regretted it! Here are the things Michelle did for us: 1) She QUICKLY had high quality pictures of our house made and posted on our listing. When I say “High quality” I mean high picture quality AND angles/shots that flattered the house. Her photo rep. didn’t just drive up and take quick pictures while strolling through each room – they studied the room and shot the room in ways that showed the space, important features of each room, and so forth. 2) She was easy to contact by phone or email! Previous realtors who tried to sell our house were nowhere to be found WHEN I NEEDED THEM! Michelle will answer your calls/emails OR return them quickly (I never had her take more than 1 hour tops to call me back). 3) She is hard-working, and gets things done. While I have been promised many things from 2 different agents before Michelle, previous realtors did not deliver like Michelle did. It would take “a couple days” with the 2 other realtors, where as with Michelle, I often had the impression over phone calls/emails that she wanted my house to sell as badly as I did. She shoots straight with you, lays out options fairly, AND she has a sense of urgency in working with you to sell/buy a house! I really do not think my house would have sold when it did were it not for the hard work of Michelle Amen!

We could not be more pleased with our experience. Michelle called me upon my completion of an online form, and within 24 hours we had an appointment to view houses with her. We gave her our list of requested viewings, and she brought along several more suggestions -- one of which ended up being our chosen home. Michelle will overwhelm you with blah blah blah and will not let you make your own decision. If you question anything she says or offers you, she will tell you that you don't know what you are talking about and that you are uneducated (Literally). She has a guy for the mortgage loans who will try to abuse you big time with his number and if you question anything, she will tell you to either take it or leave it. She wants you to buy the house in a record time so she can make money and forget you if you did not have enough time to think about the house or the contract deal. You are in the house, you are paying a premium and she already made her money/commission. So if you are a first time buyer or you like to read about what you are offered and make good decisions, this is not the right agent for you. She sent me an email telling me that she is too busy to spend unproductive time. I worked with her for 1 week and went out to see houses only 1 time, we decided on one but the mortgage loan the guy gave me made no sense, so I asked questions about it, she wanted me to take it or leave it. Then when I fired her she turned nasty and started saying mean things. This agent does not care about you she only cares about making her commission and quick. Do not work with her.

I found a house I was interested in on Zillow.com, I left my information on the web site and was surprised to get a response from Michelle Amen within about 5 minutes. She had a very positive attitude and arranged for me to see the home the next day. The home wasn’t for me, but Michelle took the time to understand my needs. On my next day off she met me with a list of homes that met my needs, she had them in the order that we were to go see them on a clipboard with a pen attached for notes. She was amazing!! She looked out for my best interests as far as the condition of the homes and what might need to be repaired. At the end of the viewings she had a “surprise” for me, a home she had been keeping a secret. I immediately fell in love with this home, but she told me she had more homes for me to view the following day. At the end of the following day she had another “surprise,” another gorgeous home within my price range. I was on the fence so she took me back to the first home and let me view it privately (without any influence) until I decided that was the best house for me. We drew up a contract that night and she had my offer submitted the next morning. Imagine my surprise when she contacted me the very same evening to say my offer was accepted! She negotiated what I thought was an incredible deal, with more “extras” than I could have hoped for. I thought we were asking for too much and was afraid we might not get the house, but the buyer accepted our offer. Michelle absolutely went above and beyond as a real estate agent and a woman of character. My boyfriend was searching for a home in Memphis while spending a significant amount of time working remotely in California. His time in the Memphis area was limited and Michelle worked around his schedule to find him the perfect home. She allowed him to form his own opinions about the homes he visited without inserting her own; but when asked, she offered honest, informed opinions that were extremely valuable. His purchasing process was not the smoothest due to new lending regulations (and whose process is really smooth?) and Michelle made it her mission to make things happen so he could close on the home within a matter of weeks. Because he was not in the area she coordinated his move, cleaning both his old and new place, and having carpet installed in the new home. NONE of that was her responsibility but she was always kind and willing to help. When he and I arrived in Memphis late on a Thursday night to spend a weekend at the new house, we arrived to the best surprise. Michelle had ordered dinner and dessert from a local Italian restaurant and set up a candlelit dinner by the fire complete with flowers and a bottle of champagne to celebrate. I was blown away...and crying at this point. I can't say enough positive things about Michelle. Not living in the Memphis area I hate that my word doesn't spread to enough potential clients of hers and I can only hope that this review does just that. If you are looking for a real estate agent, LOOK NO FURTHER. You found her. The two things that SOLD me on Michelle were: 1) She had us extremely organized in our home search. She arranged for and we saw 15 properties in one afternoon. I thought that would be either be impossible or unproductive or both. It was not! She had all the property descriptions printed and organized in order on a clip board. She had us take good notes immediately after each home and gave us a system to keep track of the results. She kept us moving and dynamically kept every appointment updated so we could walk right in each home. We were actually able to easily decide which house was best for us. I have been on searches before where we saw multiple homes (but never 15) and it was always difficult to keep track of what we had seen which made the experience frustrating. This was the opposite. 2) Michelle was enthusiastic. On the home search side, she never got discouraged when we eliminated homes. She never said we had to lower or change our desires/expectations. She kept saying, There's one out there for you. We're going to find it. And we did...on the 14th house. On the selling side, she looked at our house from the perspective of all the positives instead of all the things we had to change/fix. She did help us know what things had to be changed to maximize our value but she always remained enthusiastic about what we were selling. And she sold it for 30K above any other estimate we had gotten from sales agents and she sold it in 1 day. Enough said.
