Mike Blumenfeld is a real estate broker who brings a rare mix of outdoor experience, creative skill, and people centered teaching to his work. Since moving to Western North Carolina from Cincinnati, Ohio in 2007, he has built a career around helping people feel confident exploring new terrain, whether that means a new trail, a new skill, or a new place to call home.
With more than twenty years of experience as an outdoor sports instructor, Mike understands how to guide people through big decisions with patience, clarity, and encouragement. He spent over half a decade in Big Sky, Montana teaching snowboarding and deepening his love for mountain living. That same steady coaching style now shapes how he supports buyers and sellers in Western North Carolina.
Mike is also an accomplished glass artist and former instructor at the North Carolina Glass Center. His creative background strengthens his eye for design, flow, and detail, and he brings that perspective into photography, presentation, and helping clients see the potential in every space. Earlier in his career he worked in commercial photography for Frontgate and Grandin Rd. Catalogs from Southern Florida to Southern California, gaining valuable experience in high quality visuals and home focused storytelling.
Here in WNC, Mike has been deeply involved in trail work and outdoor recreation projects, including his time with the G5 Trail Collective. His connection to Pisgah National Forest and the surrounding recreation areas helps him guide clients toward homes and properties that match the lifestyle they want to build.
Mike believes a great home supports adventure, creativity, and connection. He lives in Black Mountain with his wife Erica and their mini golden doodle, Ollie. He loves helping people find homes, land, and investment properties that fit the way they want to live here in Western North Carolina.
