About Mike

Mike D’Onofrio was born and raised in the real estate world — his father is a real estate broker and investor who passed along this passion to his son early on. Surrounded by the real estate industry his entire life, Mike learned the value of hard work and strong work ethic, loyalty, endurance, flexibility, and compassion at a young age.

Today, Mike offers over 30 years of real estate experience in his native Tri-Valley community to his new and existing clients, a diverse group ranging from first-time homebuyers to those looking to relocate or upgrade to larger homes. Mike attributes his more than $650 million in total sales to providing his clients with an intimate and personalized experience coupled with a detailed-driven approach. Mike always keeps clients’ best interests at the forefront of every transaction; as an advocate for the consumer, he is respected by colleagues and clients.

Mike began his work in real estate after completing his journalism degree at San Diego State University, where he also minored in sociology and Italian. From being nominated Rookie of the Year in 1992 to Tri-Valley Top Achiever in 1999, he brings sharp negotiation skills and a patient demeanor to every transaction and client he encounters. Wanting to possess more knowledge to bring greater value to his clients, Mike pursued certifications as a Fine Home Specialist, Real Estate Owned Specialist, and Relocation Specialist. In addition, as a Certified Probate Real Estate Specialist, Mike is also poised to help clients navigate more nuanced and complex transactions.

Mike is a highly skilled negotiator who focuses on solutions rather than problems. His properties’ average number of days on the market and sales prices exceed the local average. Clients are so pleased with his ethics, professionalism, and results that they become repeat customers and refer their families and friends. Mike’s success is built on his reputation for bringing humor, honesty, and outstanding communication to his client relationships. Mike understands the value of having a home in which to raise a family, make happy memories, and build equity, and he is always committed to helping his clients make educated financial decisions when it comes to their property investments.

Mike is a real estate investor himself, but away from real estate, he enjoys spending time with his family and keeping fit. When he can, he loves traveling — and perhaps fitting in a wine tasting!
