About Mindy
When it comes to real estate sales and service, Mindy Strand, with Edge Realty, has personal experience. Mindy is an Air Force Spouse with many moves in her past. Mindy’s husband’s career brought them to the Little Rock area. Through his multiple deployments, motherhood to two girls, transfers, operating an online business. Mindy remains an energetic, caring, capable person who entered the field of Real Estate in 2017.
Since entering the RE industry, Mindy has earned the North Pulaski Board of REALTORS’ Bronze award, and Edge Realty’s Rookie of the year in 2017. 2018 was a good year for Mindy as well; she earned the North Pulaski Board of REALTORS’ Platinum award, Edge Realty’s Top Agent of the Year, Top Buyers Agent of the Year, and four Agent of the Month awards.
The lessons that Mindy learned about the needs of people during her studies coupled with her life experience gives her the passion and compassion that drives her to connect with newcomers looking for a home. Mindy is a listener: to the clients’ thoughts, loves, needs, etc. and works to match them up to their dream home. Helping her clients, born, and raised here or moving across the globe, she strives to make it a smooth transaction, “This is an exciting new chapter of someone’s life and one of the biggest financial decisions one makes; it’s an honor to be entrusted to be part of that process.” The clients’ gratitude is appreciated, as well as the acknowledgement she gets for her challenging work from Edge Realty.
As with most realtors, Mindy’s chief challenge is time management. She prides herself on being available to her clients – day, evening, and weekends – while continuing to be a mom who spends quality time with her family. Mindy wants her family, friends, and clients to feel like each is her priority. She focuses on “being where her feet are.” If she is at a showing, she is there in body and mind; at home, she is there in body and mind. It takes dedication to her goal to accomplish that.
Forming relationships with her clients is an important chapter in Mindy’s career. Realty has provided her an opportunity to help others, create new friendships, and bring in extra income for her family. She says, “With Real Estate it has been a big achievement to have a successful career doing something I love.” She continues to talk about her success, “Many of my clients have become good friends, which is big to me, because not being from here and the military friends that end up moving, it is great to have local friendships.”
When Mindy considers a definition of success she says, it “is the outcome of positive possibilities when you put your mind to something. The payoff when you love what you do, and you work hard to achieve your goals.” Each time she achieves a goal she sets new ones and continues to reach for more. She is open to bumps in the road and learning from her mistakes while reaching and resetting goals. Mindy quotes Winston Churchill’s words, “Success is not final; failure is not fatal: It is the courage to continue that counts.”
Mindy balances her time by volunteering in the Key Spouse at Little Rock Air Force Base. She is there to support other military families, especially those who are separated by deployment. She knows from her personal experience the anxiety of separation and is there to offer support. She also serves on the Jacksonville Downtown Steering Committee hoping to be a part of growth in the home of LRAFB. Animal rehabilitation shares in Mindy’s passion as well as helping people to find missing people and assisting families to reconnect. Mindy says, “It’s important to me to help others, just as I would hope for if I was in a similar situation.”
At home, Mindy relaxes with her family. She loves to be creative with her crafting hobby and working in the yard. The family likes to explore local sites and play in their backyard pool. The girls enjoy it when mom paints, dances, and builds indoor forts for movie night with them! Her family, coworkers and friends describe Mindy as caring, driven, bubbly, sensitive, kindhearted and all those other lovely adjectives that could be used to illuminate Mindy Strand’s personality and work ethic.
At work, you can reach Mindy at her E-mail address, mindy@edgerealtyar.com. The Edge Realty office is located at 140 John Harden Drive, Ste. 11, in Jacksonville.
