Closer to home in Kensington, he walks Nico, his English springer spaniel, on one of Berkeley’s many trails or along the Bay at Pt. Isabel and, just like in Marin or San Francisco, there are also ample opportunities to eat well, with produce from Monterey Market and Berkeley Bowl, or in one of the many exceptional restaurants, like Juanita & Maude’s or Comal. The East Bay: there’s no place better to live.
