Mitchell T. Compton II is the CEO and Owner of Tyco Property Management Company, a family-owned real estate operating company founded in 1966 that provides homeowners association, residential, multifamily, and commercial property management services throughout the San Diego region.
With more than 30 years of experience in real estate investment and operations, Mitchell has built a career spanning acquisitions, development, financing, leasing, asset management, capital raising, and business operations. His experience includes sourcing debt and equity partners, executing complex transactions, and leading projects through every stage of the investment lifecycle.
Throughout his career, Mitchell has developed expertise in multifamily, office, urban infill development, land entitlements, community association management, and commercial real estate operations. He has successfully participated in and led projects across San Diego, Las Vegas, and Phoenix.
Mitchell began his career with Tyco Property Management & Investments in 1994 while attending college. After earning a B.A. in International Relations from the University of Southern California, he joined Bank of America Private Bank, where he worked on residential and commercial lending transactions, estate planning strategies, and investment management solutions for high-net-worth individuals and families.
In 2002, Mitchell co-founded Halcyon Companies, LLC, a real estate investment company focused on acquiring, operating, and repositioning multifamily and commercial assets throughout the western United States. In 2006, he co-founded EnDev Enterprises, LLC, which developed and operated several well-known entertainment and nightlife venues in San Diego.
In 2009, Mitchell co-founded Dominion West, a real estate investment firm focused on distressed acquisitions, private lending, and opportunistic investments across multiple real estate asset classes. In 2015, he co-founded Coconut Beach Food & Beverage LLC, helping build a national distribution platform serving major retail channels throughout the United States.
Today, Mitchell leads Tyco Property Management Company with a focus on operational excellence, long-term growth, and delivering exceptional service to homeowners associations, investors, commercial property owners, and residential clients throughout the San Diego region.
Outside of business, Mitchell is an avid surfer, snowboarder, swimmer and runner and completed the Boston Marathon in 2013.
