Murphy Coon

Murphy is a native West Texan, growing up in Brownfield. He graduated in 2003 with honors from Brownfield High School, and then attended Texas Tech University. There, he majored in Food Science with a minor in Chemistry. During this time, he met his wife Amber, and were married at First Presbyterian Church in 2007. They have celebrated over 13 years of marriage and are blessed with 2 beautiful little girls, Abigail and Loralei.

After graduation from Texas Tech with his Bachelor of Science, he pursued a career in the food industry. His first job was with Praters’ Foods in their quality control department. He then transitioned to Ecolab, where he spent the next 8 years selling supplies to restaurants, hotels, and other institutions across West Texas, Colorado, Nebraska, and Wyoming. He received numerous high sales achievement awards while there and was promoted to District Sales Manager for West Texas in 2014.

Family is his top priority, and with that in mind he made the decision to leave his position at Ecolab in 2015, to spend more time with his wife and caring for their children. Giving back to their great community is also especially important to him. Currently, he is a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church where he has been called to serve in the Children’s Ministry. There he volunteers his time with summer camps, teaching Sunday school, community outreach programs, and vacation bible school. In 2020, he was ordained as an Elder, and is currently serving on Session as the Elder for Childrens Ministries. He is also currently serving as the Vice-President for his neighborhood Homeowners Association.

Murphy loves interacting with people and helping them solve complex problems. This in addition to his sales experience and personal relation skills are perfectly suited to a career in Real Estate, which also provides him the flexibility he needs. In his 4 plus years in real estate he has been successful in helping clients with residential, commercial, and farm/ranch transactions. He is looking forward to many more years of helping the people of West Texas find their dream homes.
