About Natalie
Experienced in the various needs of a true global citizen, Natalie Debray prides herself on her strong work ethic, ability to develop trust, and the lasting relationships she builds with her clients. Natalie combines her commitment to a smart, innovative, and creative approach, with the global vision of Realogics Sotheby’s International Realty. As a Founding Member of the firm’s branch office in downtown Bellevue, she fuses international experience, teaching, mentorship, language skills, and a passion for real estate.
Natalie’s diverse background includes a previous position as an adjunct Professor in Communication at the University of Washington. There, she was an expert in intercultural and international communication—and this savoir faire comes into every interaction with her clients. Her fluency in peoples, cultures and languages (she is fluent in French) is a huge asset to her business. Whether working with clients in the Pacific Northwest, or internationally, her honesty, warmth, and ability to relate are intangibles that put her clients at ease, particularly in a complex and rapidly changing market.
A Seattle native, Natalie attended Mills College in Oakland, California, and received an MA in International Studies and Ph.D. in Communication from the University of Washington. She worked in San Francisco before taking her skills to Paris and ultimately back home to Seattle. Natalie has called Mercer Island home for nearly 20 years — a community she and her husband were drawn to for the top schools her two sons attended (they are now at UW and University of Utah), a vibrant waterfront lifestyle, proximity to Seattle and the greater Eastside, and a strong sense of community and philanthropy. She is on the board of the Mercer Island Sister City Association and, befitting her background, the Mercer Island Sister City is Thonon-les-Bains, France. An advocate for Mental Health awareness, she also serves as a Parent Ambassador at Youth Eastside Services.
She loves finding gems and hidden treasures at flea markets and estate sales and can also be found on her time off traveling, skiing, reading, or out enjoying live music, the food scene, and of course all things French, including walks with her beloved French Bulldog Dexter.
