Phil graduated from Ohio University in 1995 with a bachelors degree in journalism and went on to a successful nine-year career in public relations and consulting. He left consulting behind in 2003 and launched Byers Home Team with a mission to provide the best possible customer service and neighborhood market expertise available anywhere in Chicago.

Phil lives with his wife Gina, and his three dogs, Jackie, Katie, and Charlie in Chicago's Lincoln Square neighborhood. Originally from the Detroit area, Phil is a proud Chicagoan for the past 27 years living and working in the market he serves every day as an agent.
