President and CEO, Rick Kenny, MAI has over 30 years of real estate appraisal experience in commercial, residential and special-use real estate. He is one of the Atlanta area’s most experienced professional appraisers and has built a long list of loyal clients, one quality appraisal at a time.
A graduate of Florida State University with a degree in real estate and marketing, Kenny began his professional career in 1983, working both in the private sector and with government entities before founding his own firm, Kenny and Associates, Inc., in 1991.
Over the ensuing two decades, Kenny sharpened his appraisal skills through continuing education programs and extensive, comprehensive education, which has led to his receiving of the prestigious professional designation of MAI from the Appraisal Institute.
His professionalism and performance earned him the respect of the Atlanta-area real estate community, leading to his two-year chairmanship (2008-2009) of the Fulton County Tax Assessors Board, on which he served six-year term (2006-2012). As a former member of the Fulton County Tax Assessors Board he has completed numerous classes related to tax assessment procedures.
In addition to appraising commercial properties, he serves clients through real estate tax consulting, feasibility studies, and real estate brokerage.
Kenny has also been called on to educate his professional peers, teaching courses on the fundamental and advanced aspects of real estate appraising both as a private business owner and as an employee of the FDIC. He is also qualified as an expert witness in legal cases involving real estate values.
In addition to the Appraisal Institute, he is a member of the Atlanta Board of Realtors®, and the Georgia Association of Assessing Officers, the Gainesville Rotary Club, the North Fulton FCA Board.
Kenny holds active licenses in Georgia as a real estate broker and real estate appraiser, in addition to a Series 22 Securities License.
