I am an Iowa native who knows the power of utilizing a strong work ethic! My people skills stem from a career in the Human Services field. My teenage years were spent babysitting for families in my small town community. I attended a small college hoping to be a teacher, but after college realized I was better suited in other areas instead of the traditional classroom teaching. That lead me to working at 2 camps for children, teens, and adults with special needs for 4 college summers; I was a Coordinator at a group home for 4 years; paraprofessional at a school for children and teens with Autism for 2 years; worked at a facility for adults to enhance their job skills for 7 years. All these experiences have taught me to read between the lines, put myself in the other person's shoes, be patient, and most of all, listen to that gut feeling.
