About Rogers

Rogers Moore got into real estate in an unusual way. While searching for office space for his insurance business, Rogers met the owner of Flory Real Estate, a Sarasota real estate company which began in 1925. The owner, surprisingly, offered to sell the real estate company along with leasing the office space. An agreement was reached, and with no prior real estate experience, Rogers purchased the company, and introduced himself to the agents in the office as the new owner. That was in December 1980.

After successfully operating Flory Real Estate for thirty-three years, Rogers recognized that the real estate market was rapidly changing, and a company with global alliances and contacts could offer a strategic advantage for real estate buyers and sellers. After careful consideration, he decided to affiliate with Coldwell Banker, a 100-year-old real estate company with offices in fifty-one countries.

Rogers moved to Sarasota in 1978, is originally from Kentucky, and majored in business at the University of Kentucky; he has two beautiful daughters working in banking and insurance; Rogers plays competitive golf and tennis, and enjoys starting every day with jogging a mile on the downtown bayfront; he regularly visits the Ringling Museum, and occasionally picks up a guitar and sings oldies;

Rogers has served and supported various Sarasota organizations, including: First Presbyterian Church, Caritas Food Pantry, All Faiths Food Bank, Resurrection House, Sarasota Memorial Hospital Foundation, Rotary Club of Sarasota, Van Wezel Foundation, Laurel Oak Homeowners Association, Sarasota Chamber of Commerce.

With over forty years of assisting buyers and sellers meet their real estate goals, Rogers is excited to be able to offer the global resources of Coldwell Banker to his clients.
