Royce King

Royce King moved to the Madill area in 1951 and attended Madill schools He was active in the Future Farmers of America and received the Oklahoma State Farmer Award in 1965, He raised and showed at special events registered Angus cattle throughout his high school years . After graduating he enrolled at Southeastern Oklahoma State University for 3 years and later transferred to Oklahoma State University (OSU) where he received his Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on Accounting. After graduating from OSU, he worked for a Dallas, Texas company. In August, 1972 King went to work the U.S. Department of Treasury in Los Angeles, California. His tenure with the Treasury Department resulted with detailed work assignments in Dallas, Texas, Washington, D.C. , Puerto Rico, and Tulsa, Oklahoma. He received his Texas Real Estate Commission Broker's License in February, 1980. At this time, his wife, Linda a Broker was working for a Plano, Texas real estate office and had several large home builders as her clients. He assisted her with clients as much as he could without causing any "conflict of interest" between his government job and the real estate industry. At the same time, he built several large custom homes in the Garland and Plano, Texas area using the business name, Bob King Custom Homes. One of these homes was 6,800 square feet of living area and sold for $700,000 to a Vice President of J. C. Penney Company. Upon his retirement in August, 1997, he transferred his Texas Broker's License to Oklahoma and established his own real estate business in Madill, Oklahoma know as Bob King Properties. Over the years, he has assisted numerous clients with their closings for homes, commercial businesses, and ranch and farm land. He has experience in closing transactions involving "short sales" and real estate owned (REO) properties.
