Russell Mohr began his career in the Long Island real estate industry as a broker. In February 1993, Mr. Mohr was tapped by The Benjamin Companies to serve as director of its development, sales and marketing division. In 2005, Mr. Mohr was promoted to vice president of that division. In this capacity, Mr. Mohr’s responsibilities include involvement in the day-to-day operations and development of new projects and management of both residential and commercial properties.
During his years with The Benjamin Companies, Mr. Mohr has been a critical team member on numerous groundbreaking and award-winning residential and commercial projects. Most recently these projects have included The Greens at Half Hollows, Court Plaza Senior Apartments, Courthouse Corporate Center, Islip Landing, and The Benjamin Companies most significant project to date, Arverne By The Sea, a co-development with The Beechwood Organization. Arverne By The Sea is transforming the Rockaway section of Queens, providing over 2,300 residential units, 250,000 square feet of retail space, and a brand new YMCA.
In keeping with The Benjamin Companies’ commitment to community and building in harmony with the environment, Mr. Mohr is actively involved in the Central Islip Civic Association & Main Street Alliance, the Town of Islip Economic Development Commission, and the Huntington Chamber of Commerce.
