Sam’s awesome! He recommended upgrades to my home to take it to market and when I agreed, coordinated with a contractor he works with. They did a beautiful job and Sam took my home to market with a competitive listing price which we agreed upon — and as a result of his improvement recommendations plus his savvy marketing efforts, my home received multiple offers and sold extremely quickly for $65k more than list price! Sam is an amazing realtor and an absolutely lovely person to work with. He goes above and beyond and because of his expertise and negotiating skills, I was able to purchase a great home in an absolutely amazing location for significantly under asking price and with all buyer contingencies (a rarity in the DC market!). I wasn't sure what I was looking for, so we looked at owner occupied apartment buildings, "fixer-uppers", and recently renovated places. It was both informative and a lot of fun to look at potential homes with Sam, and his expertise was invaluable as I weighed exactly what I wanted. Sam is incredibly helpful all the way through closing and beyond. He's got a wealth of contractors to recommend and understands home renovation, which has been so helpful as I do some work on my new house. And Sam's just a delightful person to work with-- truly can't recommend him enough!

When we were getting ready to sell our Capitol Hill rowhouse from out-of-state, we interviewed a number of realtors. Sam stood out immediately. He promised us a pleasant and “full-service” real- estate experience. He delivered on both counts! He expertly oversaw the work that needed to be done to get our house to market, hired the contractors, made a timeline, and stuck to it. He completely took the stress and worry out of selling our house and we are so grateful to him for that. Sam is incredible!!! If you're buying or selling in DCMV, do not pass go, do not collect $200 — call Sam. What other realtor has this resume? He's done construction & renovation (he'll know the homes inside/out and how to maximize value), public policy (he gets what it's like to live *and* work in DCMV, including things like commutes, social amenities, and neighborhood character), banking (he'll help you run the financial models and understand long-term returns), and acting (he'll listen deeply and help you tell the story of the home you're saying hello or goodbye to). I had an incredible experience listing with Sam, and he sold my home faster than planned, above asking price, AND to a family that was going to make the neighborhood a more wonderful place to live. He's also just a delightful human to work (and play) with. Sam was incredibly supportive throughout the emotional rollercoaster of selling a home, and he made sure most issues (minor repair, staging questions, listing details) were just... taken care of, so that I could focus on the big picture stuff that mattered. I'd work with Sam again in a heartbeat.

I had so much fun working with Sam as my realtor. I really enjoyed how he gave me a wide range of one bedroom condos to look through so I could see the differences between them and narrow down exactly what I wanted. He also advised me on what would be a competitive offer for any units I was interested in and balanced that against what I was comfortable with financially. Sam has been an excellent realtor and friend to us. We met with him this past June and shared with him our concerns about the market and desire to want to own a home before our two toddlers were in school. He reassured us it could be done and we worked out a plan.
