I know Sarasota and its gorgeous islands like the back of my hand! I've lived in Sarasota, Florida for 30+ years and have been living on Siesta Key for 31 years.
I've also traveled the world as a consultant to the Florida Dept of Technology. I am a Certified International Propery specialist, listing and selling properties globally. I am also a former Sarasota teacher, listed in Who's Who Among National Teachers. I have a graduate degree in Linguistics and English as a Second Language. Shortly thereafter, in 1989, I was invited to Harvard University to complete an internship in Linguistics and ESL . At the same time I was recruited by the Fulbright Association to become a Fulbright scholar and Ambassador to Brazil. I was a teacher trainer in Rio De Janiero, Brazil from 1990 to 1992. We resided in Rio for two years. During this time, I was also a consultant to IBM Latin America and a teacher trainer for Yazigi Schools of English. Upon our return to the US, I continued to work for Yazigi as a consultant and teacher trainer. I was also employed by the Florida Dept of Technology. While in Brazil, I spearheaded an internet project for children. The Florida Dept of Technology was developing an internet network called FIRN, which ran seamlessly on the backbone of DarpaNet. I supplied modems and trained professors and teachers how to communicate with schools throughout the world, wherein children communicated with one another. I was cited in Forbes magazine as the founder of the first grassroots email pen pal program worldwide. My husband and I raised five children on Siesta Key and sent them all off to college. They are all doing beautifully. I have seven grandbabies whom I adore. My husband, a professional photographer, first resided on Siesta Key when he was just 3 months old; I consider him a 'native' Floridian. I first started visiting Siesta Key when I was a child in the mid-fifties. In the seventies, I became a realtor, per my father's urging, and was able to assist my parents in purchasing a home and an investment property on Beach Rd. Becoming a realtor was a natural transition from teaching. As a realtor, my clients are my top priority. I strive to inform and serve my clients with passion and compassion. I love working with people, assisting them to achieve their goals. As a former teacher, I invite you to let me do your homework!
