About Sara

I grew up in St. Paul, Minnesota and have twin boys and a daughter in Darien Public Schools.

In Minneapolis I worked as an Employee Benefits Consultant and was responsible for coordinating and delivering employee education related to my client’s defined contribution plans. I held NASD Securities Licenses 6 and 63 and obtained the Certified Employee Benefits Specialist (CEBS) designation.

After a move to New York City, I was hired as an Office Manager by an alternative investment firm with $25 billion in assets under management. While overseeing the office I coordinated a $7 million dollar renovation and headquarter relocation - from initial design to material selection - culminating in the physical move of 100+ employees.

I've met fantastic friends, neighbors and residents through the many ways I've volunteered since moving to Darien in 2006.

I am a past member of the Representative Town Meeting (RTM), former "coach" for Darien Junior Field Hockey, past Campaign Manager for the 2013, 2015 and 2017 Republican Selectmen Re-election campaigns, past Co-Chair of the Holmes Elementary School PTO, four-year board member of the Darien Library and a former Catechist at St. Thomas More Catholic Church.

Served as Co-Chair of the Darien Memorial Day Parade and the Darien Fireworks, spent four years on the Darien RTC and a past President and Board Member of Opus for Person-to-Person. I also chaired various committees through the YWCA of Darien/Norwalk.

I love Darien and Fairfield County as they're reminiscent of the "Land of 10,000 Lakes" - with our top schools, access to water and overall quality of life.
