I've worked with a lot of lenders and the biggest problem I always encounter is a lack of communication. Scott has been nothing less than amazing since the day I connected with him (end of 2019). I was
24 years old at the time with no clear direction of where to start or what I wanted. The only thing I really knew was that purchasing a home was a goal I wanted to work towards. He was extremely patient with me (I had 0 background or knowledge of purchasing a home). He sat me down and walked me through the entire process and broke down every step of what I needed to do in order to get within realistic range of purchasing a home (down payment, salary, pros and cons of each area, interest rates, monthly Morgage payments, home insurance, etc).

It took me about 2.5 years before I was ready to seriously search for a potential future home. Scott and his team created a catered search for any homes that met my requirements and it was sent almost daily via email. Never rushed me, took times to show me other potential homes in other area around the Bay Area whenever we had toured a place. Broke down to me what he noticed (pros and cons of each place) and how to navigate it into other prospects. Built a relationship with both my parents (he also speaks fluent Vietnamese) and they absolutely adore him.

I never had such amazing customer service/experience in my life - it felt like a friendship more than a transaction. He really listened and adjusted to each modification and any ridiculous question or request was always answered within timely manner. Each time an obstacle came my way Scott and his team always came armed with multiple potential backups, scenarios, tips, or game plans to tackle it.

As someone who has no prior experience and suffers from crippling anxiety- my many many MANY concerns were always addressed in a timely manner. My thousands of questions were always answered, and no matter how discouraged I got they always found a path to get me on the right track again. No amount of words can express my gratitude and happiness this amazing group has done for me. Thank you so much for all your help and I know exactly who to reach out to for any future home purchases :)

Not our first home purchase so we were able to compare our previous mortgage loan experience to this one. Scott was so personal during the intro call and I felt he always has our best interest in mind. He even called around to his colleagues making sure we would be getting the lowest interest rate even if it means he would lose our business. We are so glad we chose made mortgage because Scott, Lawrence, and team are exceptional. Home buying in California is super stressful especially for us out of staters. Purchasing real estate in the Bay Area is very possible, if you have the right team! Scott led me through the process from prequalified for a loan, to helping me bid and obtain the home in the location I wanted, then finding a reasonable mortgage rate (during a time of rising interest rates), and then through escrow and closing. Scott has the resources to offer when there’s bumps along the process (I needed last minute insurance.) His team demonstrates true professionalism. We worked with Scott in purchasing our first house ever in January 2022. He is honest and principled, two things that were especially important to us as first-time homebuyers. We never felt pressured or rushed.

Scott is very knowledgeable in both mortgage and real estate transaction processes. He was able to effectively distill and communicate complex information, even for first-time homebuyers like us. He replied promptly and made himself available for us whenever we had any questions or had an upcoming offer to make.

As a mortgage broker, Scott was able to shop around for the best rates for us and even used his network to get extra credit for us. He presented us with several mortgage options, patiently running numbers with us for the options we were considering. We were well-equipped to select the rate and points/credit combo that best worked for our needs.

He kept us well-informed from our first point of contact, through the search, and during escrow. He uses a handy online tracking tool where we could check the status of our loan application.

The online experience with Made Mortgage was straightforward and organized. The instructions were clear and we were able to upload documents easily in the portal which is key in what can otherwise be a tedious and cumbersome process. This definitely ensured that we were able to close in time!

My husband and I were looking to relocate and wanted to look at new builds for our first home. We contacted Scott on a Friday and he agreed to meet up with us the next day to look at different communities. We ended up placing our deposit the next Monday. As first time homebuyers, we were lucky to have Scott there to guide us through the process and ask the sales associates questions we wouldn’t have thought of.

Our house had a delivery date of January 2022 (but of course, that date is never guaranteed). The preferred lender for the builder was pushing us to lock in a rate since the interest rate was rising. We didn’t like the rate they quoted us (even with the seller and lender credits). We asked Scott for his advice and he was very transparent and answered all of our questions. He didn’t push us to go with his company, but did let us know that there were other options with better rates. When we made the decision to change lenders, we submitted an application to Made Mortgage and Scott and his team did the rest.

Although the interest rates were rising, they were able to get us an amazing rate (even without the seller and lender credits). He and his team took over communications with escrow and the builder. They made sure we were on track with submitting everything and we were approved on time before the estimated close date. We highly recommend Scott and Made Mortgage.

Scott stood out among all the mortgage brokers I contacted when I first considered to buy a condo. While others acted like they had only a few mins of their time, I vividly remember Scott talked to me for an hour to walk me through all the basics I need to know as a potential first-time home buyer. Ultimately, I backed out the deal and decided to wait. But I told myself that I would use Scott next time after the unhappy experience with Redfin. Fast forward six months, I was in the hunt for a property again. I used Scott as not only my mortgage broker but also my agent. Scott was always professional, patient and responsive throughout the process. He was able to negotiate a deal that the seller and I both agreed on for a townhouse. I also got a pretty decent interest rate. I had 26 days to close but Scott and his team were so efficient that 26 days were plenty. I highly recommend Scott and his team (Made Mortgage) to anyone.

Being a first time home buyer, I was confused, excited but nervous and didn’t know where/when to start. I found my perfect condo as I browsed through Zillow and saw that it was posted for only a day - I knew I had to act quick. I then did a quick google search and there I found Scott from Made Mortgage on Yelp. I decided to call him and being shelter in place, I assumed i’d get his voicemail, but he answered right away. Scott and his team recently helped us to refinance our mortgage. He was recommended by a relative so we decided to give him a try.
After our first conversation with him, it was clear that he is very knowledgeable about the real estate industry. We told him what our expectations were re the refinancing and he explained the pros and cons of what we wanted to do. He also provided suggestions which would be to our advantage.
During the process, he kept us informed every step of the way and would always respond promptly to our questions. He would also send us gentle reminders when we were not on top of things.
