About Scott
Scott is the founder of Ottenheimer Group. He loves Chicago and the suburbs, where he was born, raised, and is now raising a family of his own. Scott is always thrilled to help others find their perfect home. After graduating from the Indiana University Kelley School of Business, Scott worked extensively in leadership roles in the consulting and insurance industry, where he discovered that his lifelong interest in real estate had developed into a true passion. Since 2006, he has represented clients for both residential and commercial properties, ranging from first-time homebuyers to seasoned sellers and investors. In 2020, Scott completed the education necessary to obtain a managing broker license to increase his ability to serve his clientele.
Working primarily by repeat business and referrals from his ecstatic clients, Scott emphasizes a transparent process that keeps clients informed and involved through every step of the real estate journey. His corporate background yields a unique approach to real estate; the use of fact-based analytics alongside a natural empathic understanding of clients’ needs. Scott values the satisfaction of his clients above all else, so he works to get them the best value possible in their transactions. Clients say Scott is “the consummate professional,” “very patient,” “truly one of a kind,” and that he “fought hard to get us the best deal.”
Outside of highly successful real estate and corporate careers, Scott volunteers as a champion of the differently abled. His oldest daughter, Maya, was born with Williams Syndrome, a genetic condition characterized by medical problems including cardiovascular disease, developmental delays, and learning challenges, often occurring alongside striking verbal abilities, highly social personalities, and an affinity for music. Scott became involved with the Williams Syndrome Association, where he serves as Treasurer of the Board of Trustees. In addition, Scott currently serves as one of the four elected trustees of Northfield Township.
A die-hard Indiana University Hoosier basketball fan, Scott is also an avid supporter of the Chicago White Sox, Blackhawks, Bulls, and Bears. His free time is spent with his family; especially cherished are dinner dates with his wife and playing with his two young girls.
