Professional stability and commitment. I spent the early part of my career in leadership positions at district and regional levels in the supermarket industry. After 17 years with one company, I ventured into business ownership with a wholesale bakery. I enjoyed the relationships formed while in the corporate world and the creativity of the bakery. Now, after pursuing a long-standing goal of earning my real estate license, I have made the move to real estate, which combines the best aspects of those two roles. Currently, I work as a Broker/REALTOR® for RE/MAX® Intelligence in Kannapolis, NC.
A lifelong fascination with houses and real estate. As a teen, soon after getting my license and looking for reasons to get behind the wheel, I would find myself driving through different areas and neighborhoods, looking at the various architectural styles and assessing values of both the communities and the houses themselves. I love how each house has a unique “feel” and I find great satisfaction in matching people to just the right home.
A commitment to professionalism. Integrity, honesty, prompt follow-up and thorough follow-through are hallmarks of my approach to my job. Continuous education is extremely important to me. I have always embraced opportunities to learn, both in my career field and in my personal life. I value the relationships that exist in all areas of my life and I enjoy the ability to connect with folks of all ages and circumstances: children, seniors, colleagues, clients and friends from my faith community.
A strong work ethic. I entered the workforce directly out of high school, beginning as a cashier at a supermarket and advancing through the ranks to management and ultimately corporate level. During the 17 years with the company, I received numerous awards and honors, including the company’s highest award, the Outstanding Achiever Award. While working (and traveling throughout the Southeast on business), I earned an associates degree from Rowan-Cabarrus Community College and a bachelor degree from Gardner-Webb University, both degrees in Business Administration.
Knowledge of the area. As a native of North Carolina and a long-time resident of the Piedmont area, I have a deep appreciation for and familiarity with the area. I am a product of the public school system and have lived in Salisbury, Kannapolis, Concord and Elizabeth City. I now reside in a 1938 gem in Landis with my spouse, Brian, and our feline friend Rex.
