Then, when we sold the house 7 years later, we used them as our realtors to sell the house again! It's no secret that the housing market has been absolutely crazy recently but Coastal VA helped us find our first home as a couple! We had the pleasure of working with Kurt from Coastal VA and we couldn't recommend him more. We are first time home buyers and Kurt was able to answer every one of our questions (which were more than a few to say the least) and he was always prompt. Kurt went above and beyond to work with our very busy schedules and help us find the home we were looking for. Coastal VA has a great staff and network of home inspectors/mortgage lenders/etc that all went above our expectations. If you're looking to buy or sell, especially as a first time buyer/seller I cannot recommend Coastal VA enough!

Great experience. Put a house on the market on a Friday, got a contract signed on a Monday. Closed 30 days later. This was a "flip" but had a lot of different things involved but Christen was extremely professional, always provided us with up to date info, was honest about the ARV. We would have sold for more or asked for more if the time was different but its December 2020, in the midst of Covid. 3 days on the market and sold? Couldn't have asked for a better turn out. This all started when I was going to do a FSBO and reached out for suggestions on a photographer. Without requesting anything in exchange, Christen provided me an amazing and super affordable guy who did an amazing job. For Sale by Owner sounds great until you are actually trying to do it haha. Christen and her team had excellent advice for how to stage our home and even helped us pick out some great paint colors to touch up some things around the house before it went on the market. Shannon and Christen are amazing people. We first met Shannon when she bought my dads old dining room table. She told us she was a real estate agent and we asked for her card. Even though we couldn’t buy for a couple more months, Shannon continued to take us around and show us homes we were interested in. We finally found a home we loved in Poquoson and decided to put in an offer. After some serious negotiating we settled and closed on our home in September 2015. I can’t say enough good things about the CoVA Real Estate Team! The sale of our town home in Suffolk couldn't have gone more smoothly. We received multiple offers and accepted one that was above our asking price within only a few short days of listing. We closed on the property on time and without any issues. Christen gave us great advice for prepping our home for sale and Shannon took gorgeous photos of our property. The marketing was truly superb!

The purchase of our new home in Yorktown took a bit longer than expected, but Christen was so patient with us as we searched for the perfect home. She used every avenue available to ensure we had access to as many homes as possible within our strict parameters. When it came down to contract negotiations and follow up, she went above and beyond to ensure that all agreed upon work was performed - taking on many tasks that should have fallen to the seller's agent. She did what she had to do to get us into our ideal home within our timeline, and for that we couldn't be more thankful!

Yes, buying and selling a home is stressful - there is no way around it! However, ensuring you have the right real estate team on your side makes it a manageable process and ensures an outcome that you will be happy with. My husband and I sold our townhouse over the summer. Christen came and sat with us and was honest about what the process would entail and what we could expect. Everything from paint color suggestions and staging helped because in 9 days the townhouse was under contract! This was in a neighborhood where there were a lot of other units, many of which had been on the market for over 6 months. Communication was never an issue - Christen even answered while she was on vacation. Our worlds moved pretty fast - we moved out of one house and into another all within 30 days. Christen and Shannon worked together with us and was at every appointment, no matter what day and time it was. We never felt like we were in the dark, and while I’m sure it was just as stressful for them as it was us, they never showed it. We could have never had as smooth as a process of selling and buying with any other team - honestly.
