I have know Shannon for a very long time. When my aunt decided to sell her home, I thought of Shannon right away. It was a very hard decision for my aunt to sell. She had lived in her home for 25 years and she was elderly. When Shannon came over to look at the home, her first priority was my aunt. She treated her with such respect and love. She explained everything in a very clear manner. Her promise was the house would sell quick and it did. Through out the process, we had multiple questions and Shannon was very quick to respond. I reached out to Shannon to view a house that we saw online for sale. She got back to me right away and set up a date for us to go out and look at it. She was not pushy and asked us if we were currently working with an agent because she did not want to step on toes! She listened to every detail of what we wanted in a house and the price range that we wanted! We set up multiple house viewing with her for the day and she also set up a few! By the end of the day....we found what we were looking for! Shannon stayed in touch with us and kept us up on the details of what was going on, answered all of our questions, and negotiated for us! We were looking to buy a house in either a very short time frame or long term (trying to decide if we should renew our lease). Shannon found us our dream home in a perfect little neighborhood in N Chesterfield. She was very on top of her game in finding places for us to look at and we had a pretty specific range of things we wanted. The house I'm sitting in right now I shunned for two weeks (I was viewing pictures from Google Maps street view) and refused to visit, but Shannon told me it was perfect for us so we came by - and one week later we were signing papers and buying our first house! The inspector she suggested was straightforward and honest (as in, not just wanting to please the agent or the seller) which made me feel good about her choosing someone who was not just going to push the sale through regardless. Buying our first house was crazy and stressful, but it was wonderful to have Shannon on our side. As my mother’s power of attorney, I had the responsibility of selling a piece of property that she inherited that was located on the outskirts of the town of Ashland. After much research, agencies and agents, I chose Hometown Reality in Ashland, mainly because one of their agents, Shannon Haskins, kept popping up in my searches as an award winning “go-getter”. I was not disappointed. We listed the property in October. Not in a million years did I think it would sell much before spring because of the holidays and the gloominess of the winter. To my surprise, Shannon called me within the week with an offer and then another offer followed in the second week. The property was sold by that second week. Yea! The whole experience was so pleasant. I found Shannon to be knowledgeable, resourceful, and most important, trustworthy. Shannon offered suggestions for improving the property and kept me informed about progress during the entire process. I asked for and was given sound advice re selling price, title company referral, etc. Shannon had what I was looking for – intelligence, integrity and a willingness to work with “small properties”. Shannon took me to see multiple homes over a period of weeks. She never seemed annoyed when I never seemed to find quite the right house. Shannon helped us buy our first house and we actually met her during an open house she was having. We started chatting with her and there was this click right away. She gave us the tools that we needed to find houses in our area. We went out to location by ourselves and if we found something we would call or email Shannon to schedule a viewing of the house or find out some info about the house. She is very different in comparison to other real estate agents and not different in a bad way. She is very personable and comes from a more down to earth and understanding approach. She is a friend and not just strictly business. Our first home purchase was the smoothest I have ever seen it was shocking how easy it was. We called Shannon to sell our house after a family member bought and sold with her. We could not have been more happy!! Above and beyond is not enough to describe what Shannon did for us.
