Shannon Lamb helped us in our recent move by representing us with the new home builder and by listing our current home for sale. We didn't think we would need representation with the builder, but as it turns out, Shannon has been a valuable advocate for us. She is familiar with the procedures of building a new home and when things didn't go as planned, she worked through her family vacation to ensure the builder met the terms of the contract. When our home appraisal didn't come back at the right price, again Shannon worked long hours finding acceptable comparative homes for the appraiser to consider. As a result, the appraiser adjusted his original price by over $40,000. Shannon has helped guide us through the nightmare process of trying to build a new home and sell our current home at the same time. She has been calm and rational at a time when we were ready to lose our minds with frustration. Every time something went wrong, Shannon was available to answer our questions or just to listen to us vent our frustrations. More importantly, Shannon makes calls, writes emails, and constantly works to solve problems quickly and efficiently. I don't think we could have had such a successful transition if it weren't for her hard work. Shannon was there every step of the way, helping us stage our home for photos and showings, negotiating with potential buyers on the terms of the sale, and was always available to help us. First and foremost I would like to say, being a military family and having to look for a rental or to buy a home in another state is beyond stressful! Shannon was there 100% for us. At first we didn't want to buy a home but to rent one. We were in Florida and we needed a home in Virginia with in 3 months. Shannon went to different rental homes, took pictures of the area and the homes. She became our eyes and talked to the rental agencies for us. Her feed back was so important. We realized it would be cheaper to purchase a home, so once again Shannon came thru for us. She searched and searched with us, I finally found a few homes I was ready to fly out to see in person. I had 3 days to find a home, and start a contract. Shannon was so very prepared and so patient with me. I was beyond stressed and knew I had to find the right home for my family. Finally, we found the home! Shannon and I did the walk thru, she gave me the time I needed to make my decision with my husband. We put in the offer within 2 hours. Shannon was quick to get the paper work sent off to the sellers. Step by step Shannon walked us thru it all. I had to fly back to Florida which left Shannon to do the rest. She worked closely with the home inspector and made sure all the items that needed to be repaired were. I can't thank Shannon enough for how well she performed her job.
